    May 28, 2026

SpaceX is a fantastic business, but it isn’t worth that much.

Why are politics so broken when markets are so strong?

Why are markets so high when the global outlook, trade and domestic politics look so vulnerable? Destabilisation and Peak Exuberance

Markets are winding down for the holiday break, but the news flow continues to hint at rising destability and noise, hinting the future economic path will get more twisty and difficult. If it’s not AI, will it be Private Capital Markets that trigger crisis?

Markets are less fragile than we think. There are always people watching, waiting and ready to catch bargains. Some risks are in plain sight. But in Private Capital Markets they are hidden – which is why many market players believe the scale of losses might be hidden. Will Private Markets trigger the next crisis? I doubt it.

Survived October? Back to full on Complacency…

Yet again I was wrong and overly bearish. Markets survived October with barely a shrug. Everything is apparently fine and dandy.. nothing to worry about? Complacency and belief abound. We have been here before…. And what does Rugby tell us about markets?
