Bitcoin and Crypto Further Detach from Reality

Global Markets surge ahead. Bitcoin has been left behind. Yet again the crypto bubble has popped. All that’s holding it up is buy-the-dip greater fools, hope and belief – none of which are strategies for success. Time for a reassessment of what Bitcoin is and isn’t, and why it’s time to stop wasting energy on it!

Markets dancing hard ahead of the hangover

Markets drunk on expectations and hype will believe what they want to believe – but as bubbles pop and truths are exposed, then sentiment can shift suddenly. Yesterday’s market darlings become today’s scams. Who knew? Relax. The sun will come up tomorrow. Enjoy the show.

    Bear in a Bull Market

What’s not to like about markets which keep going up? Lots of participants are increasingly certain the current upside momentum is unstoppable. Some of us suffer from the problem of thinking too much and wondering if its sustainable. Being a bear can feel very lonely.

Crypto-Week: The Gods of Finance are Laughing their heads off!

The Americans have passed rules to regulate and define the crypto industry. The first rule of finance is all rules are arbitraged. The second is that regulation strengthens incumbents. Very, very different to what Nakamoto and the original crypto acolytes envisaged for free, decentralised finance! Ha Ha Ha!

    StableCoins? Please Explain…

StableCoins? I am told they are revolutionising finance. Really? Stablecoins and other tokens will replace money, stock, shares and everything else… apparently. But can someone explain, simply, in plain English, how, what, and why they are better than what already exists?

Crypto is crashing. Oh Dear. How Sad. What a shame. Never mind.

Crypto looks to be in Free Fall. If it previous crashes are any guide, it will fall between 70 and 80% before it stages yet another improbable recovery, or will it? There is so much noise, manipulation and outright shysterism around Crypto it makes little sense to risk playing the greater fool and buying falling knives. That doesn’t mean you can’t still trade the market’s gullibility!

Bitcoin? Some Predict $750K! My Guess is $25,000.

Bitcoin is either the greatest thing ever, or a complete Ponzi. Take your pick. The Shills cite multiple reasons its going ever higher. It looks to be in the speculative mania phase - joining a long and distinguished list of scams that sought to draw in the greater fools. While some target $750k, the price history may suggests $25,000 as a more realistic entry, and even that could be unsustainable if the euphoric bubble finally pops.

There are some mornings when the headlines just scream madness. So many improbable events and market moves surround us, we’re in danger of becoming desensitised to the mounting risks. Bitcoin? Musk & Boeing? US Defence Pick?

Questions, questions, everywhere this morning! Bitcoin has staged a spectacular rally since the US election. I am assured - by crypto-shills - this makes it a proper financial asset. Oh, here was me thinking it was money. Nope. It’s an asset. Really? Also, a podcast on why Musk should buy Boeing. And what does the new US defence secretary likely mean for the US military and the future of NATO-CANZUS.

I’m Satoshi Nakamoto and so is my wife.

The Media think they’ve identified Satoshi Nakamoto, the inventor of Bitcoin. While I doubt it, it raises enormous questions that about the credibility of Bitcoin, its adoption, and cast doubt on the foundation myths Crypto Shills push. Satoshi’s bitcoin wallets are currently worth over $67 bln! If the Truth emerges, Bitcoin could pop.
