The markets expect Nvidia will bat it out the park… Unlimited joy and upside awaits! Is the pursuit of AI “maybe’s” overdone? There are plenty of real, positive and profitable investments out there – without the disappointment risk of having backed yet another hollow Tech pipedream.
Lots of unhappy creatives this morning as Apple threatens to replace them all with iPads – after crushing their creative souls completely. Is it Apple’s Ratners Moment, or another sign of a mature company that’s lost touch with its community, and is badly in need of reinvigoration?
Today the markets will be focused entirely on Tech earnings and future income expectations. Smart money watches Supply Chains more carefully – and critical to global supply chains is China. While the West is focused on Demand, Asia is thinking about the security of supply.
The AI bubble is running out of steam… which may be a very apt metaphor. Value in AI is driven by supply scarcity, which will be addressed by competition and capacity. The next issue is how AI innovation is over-exaggerated – we will require much more powerful computational tools to create next level Intelligence.
Nvidia? Meta? Apple? and Tesla? Time for a rethink on when it comes to global stocks. The Magnificent Seven is now the Fab Four… Telsa is definately out the Game. I wonder who will eventually buy it?
Apple has been accused of the capital crime of being Apple! Can it survive? Historically.. the state never loses. What did Apple do wrong? Design? Profitability? Competitiveness? Business acumen? It’s yet another case of Capitalism eating itself.
Apple doesn’t look so Magnificent these days. It’s made lots of money, but faces lots of challenges. It doesn’t look likely to lead in AI. It’s hardly a growth stock – it’s a mere value stock selling the same stuff it’s been selling for decades, while charging premium price to sell via its digital shopfront.
Nvidia’s extraordinary rise comes from being the picks and shovels supplier to the AI revolution. It’s not just MegaTechs coat-tailing Nvidia that will win, but productivity gains from AI could counter the growing debt/gowth crisis in the West. AI is more complex than just a single stock.
It feels like markets have peaked and are moving into a new consolidation phase. However, a deeper theme around geopolitical threats and the breakdown in trust in domestic politics, highlights the conflict between Law and Chaos across the global economy…
Blockchain and Tokens. Not satisfied with the gains apparently offered by AI, Tech Tyrants are planning how to deeper enslave us through Web3 – the Internet of Value. Be careful what we wish for – we might just get it.
